Hi Darlene,

It is wonderful to hear you taught your granddaughter how to knit. I was about her age when I learned as well. I learned how to knit from my sitter who taught all the girls she took care of. I remember I use to rush to complete my homework so I could work on my knitting projects. The first project I completed was a blanket for my dolls which I was very proud of.

What a sweet story! It's great to hear you spend the time to teach her to knit. I just taught my 10-year old granddaughter to knit and thought she probably wouldn't do it again after leaving my place. However, she's knitting scarves for her 2 cats, baby-doll blankets and other knitted squares for things all around the house!

Hello Lori, thank you for your kind words. It is moments like this that makes one treasure the time they spend with their family. I am thrilled that something as simple as teaching my daughter to knit has made such a memorable impression on her. Hopefully she will remember these special moments we share throughout her lifetime.

Hi Tricia, thank you for your response. It is exciting to hear that kids are learning to knit or crochet at a young age. It is a wonderful craft that can be shared and enjoyed together across generations. I love to hear stories like the one of your daughter who has completed a dishcloth. It is always interesting to hear the age the child was when they learned, whom taught them and the projects they have made.
