I'm not sure if this is the correct place to introduce myself the main page is confusing. My name is Debra Cutler, I'm a disabled RN. I taught myself to knit when I wasn't able to sleep and now I'm hooked. I am a "skilled beginner?". I love to knit hats, scarfs and baby things, but am branching out to shrugs and sweaters. I live in rural North Carolina and there are limited yarn stores and no guilds. I am looking forward to this challenge and meeting other knitters.

What do you think about posting the recipe? I'd love to know how you made the shape and where you put the raspberry filling. And, of course, your techniques for getting such a great "do" on the frosting. Looks fab!

Zontee says: Hi Helen, we don't have the recipe as this cake was made by Michelle's roommate, a professional pastry chef, with the help of Michelle and Nili. But for the details, they baked 3 square chocolate cakes, assembled them into one cake with raspberry filling between each of the 3 layers, and then carved the cake into its rounded shape. The "yarn" outside is made of colored fondant, a common technique for decorating cakes. You can find many good fondant tutorials online just by doing a web search. Hope that helps.

Happy birthday Patty! The sales team doesn't get such elaborate cakes here. I wish you a wonderful year. Glad Michelle & Nili made your day special. This is so unique. They should post the recipe and how to assemble on the web so that other enthusiasts could use.

Just because today's digital cameras make a flash unnecessary doesn't mean that a given shot wouldn't be better with one. A flash would have cancelled out the ugly shadows caused by the strong overhead lighting. Not only yarn is beautiful; don't make the ladies look dead!
