A Bull in a Sweater

We love to see the creative things that people yarn bomb.  It’s always fun when artists add knit or crochet to existing statues, such as Robyn Love’s “Memorials/The Doughboy”.  New York City’s newest sweater clad statue is the iconic Wall Street Bull.  Olek, the same artists who brought us the crocheted bicycle, crocheted this fabulous cozy.  You can see her putting it all together in the video below.

Tell us about the fun places you’ve seen knitted and crocheted art near you.

Did they leave the bull covered for very long?

LOVE IT. LOVE IT. I would have helped had I been there. Wonder what the onlookers thought. I notice none of them were there when she finished. How long did it take her?

Hi Oldlinda, The bull didn’t get to wear the sweater very long, although I’m not sure exactly when it got taken down. I don’t know how long it took her, but you can click through to her video and ask her!

In our small town, there is an awesome group of young (as in 12 – 14 years old) girls that with the help of their adventurous mothers have been doing some awesome yarn-bombing in our area. Check out the dinosaur scarf, and of course, their blog about their projects! Here is a link through our blog:
