Pantone’s Color of the Year
January 12th, 2011
2011′s color of the year is Honeysuckle, according to leading color authority Pantone. They describe the color as a “dynamic reddish pink” that is “encouraging and uplifting”. With the terrible weather we’ve had on the East Coast, I think this bold color is great for adding a cheery pop of color to a winter’s day, such as with a handmade cowl or scarf. The color is also makes a great transition into spring and summer wardrobes. Want to add some Honeysuckle yarn to your collection? Here are just a few yarn suggestions.

From bottom left: LB Collection Cotton Bamboo in Hibiscus, Sock-Ease in Lollipop, LB Collection Superwash Merino in Peony, Baby Wool in Peony
What do you think of Pantone’s choice? Will you be adding Honeysuckle yarn to your stash? What do you think the color of the year should be?
