3 Spectacular Dishcloth Yarns

Ever thought about making your own dish cloths? With summer heating up, it’s time to break out the fast-finish super-portable projects.  Dish cloths are lightweight, quick to make and easy to carry with you on vacation, to the beach or even on your commute. You can use a finished dishcloth right away in any season, and they make great gifts for summer guests or friends hosting picnics and cook outs.

Here are three cotton and cotton blend yarns that make excellent dish cloths, and a great dish cloth pattern for each one!

    Thank you so much for this post!! I love making washcloths but don’t like the stiff/scratchy result of 100% cotton. It’s great to know I can use other blends :)

    Haven’t tried the recycle cotton but love the 100% cotton.Use it all the time to make dish clothes.

    I have made dishclothes before but not your cotton yarn as Walmart doesn’t have it and that is the only place here we have to buy yarn.

      You are on the internet……use it to buy your yarns.  You will be absolutely amazed at what is out there!  I have many stores around me and I can’t get all the kinds of yarn that Lion makes but my fingers fly when sending in an internet order!!

    At almost $6 a ball, I’ll skip it…. ( I do LOVE cottonease though, just a bit of a waste to use it to clean or wipe up spills with)
