Have made one pair of socks using merino cotton mix. I think tighter knitting or switching colors in areas that
wear (but keep it stretchy also).Possibly a mohair wool mix in certain areas would wear better.
would like to try another pair to see what other yarns to try. Isnt there a Woolease yarn giveaway someplace?

Deborah Norville Serenity Sock Yarn - Beautiful soft colours,, self striping, lovely to work with and machine washable. I made Patons yoga socks with them and they are warm and comfortable - I get compliments on them all the time. They were my first attempt at socks and now I'm hooked!

I have to say, my favorite sock yarn is Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Select. It's a super high twist Merino. They say there's no need for nylon, but I always carry a thread of woolley nylon when knitting the toe and heel anyway. I love the colorways, too. I wish LB would do a sock yarn in the Amazing colors!
