It is the story of an old sheep named Amos who does not want to give up his fleece for a sweater. Another is ‘The Great Knitting Needle Hunt’ by Paul Geraghty. It is about a little boy who helps his grandmother search for her missing knitting needle.

Also, last year I found The First Christmas Stocking (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003IWYI1Y?ie=UTF8&tag=stathanablog-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=1789&creativeASIN=B003IWYI1Y)  – which would make a lovely book with a first stocking for a newborn!
