Three stitches sounds right to me. You are increasing two stitches every other row. This scarf/shawl starts at the bottom point and works upward. You could start with two stitches, but you get a cleaner point with three.

The pattern for the triangle scarf says : SHAWL
CAST ON 3 STITCHES.
Row 1 Knit.Row 2 Knit in front and back of first stitch, knit to last stitch, knit in front and back of last stitch. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until 2 yards of yarn remain. Bind off all stitches loosely. Using a larger needle is helpful.

THREE STITCHES. This CAN’T be right.
And, in the past, when I have informed the folks at L.B. that there was a mistake in a pattern, i received less than a courteous response, telling me that I WAS WRONG. A few months later, the pattern was corrected! (With no folow up email notice to me.) The pattern was the Homespun Cable Capelet.

Yes When you go to the print page, it asks for all pages or 1-3 etc. Just select the pages you want.
