I am so into color & love this array. So what if it was used in past seasons – if you love it then use it. This is self-expression & tells the world who you are. If you just use a color becuz it’s “in” this season, then you are letting the marketing wizards tell you who you are. Be inspired by what’s in – not let it dictate. The idea is to consider using different colors than your same-old same-old. Find one or two that speak to you and go with that and maybe choose a basic classic to pair it with. Have fun with color!

Tangerine was promoted as “the” color for this past summer but I didn’t seen anyone wearing it. The industry is trying to push it again? Bright chartreuse is pretty much a re-run of the color-of-the-season 7-8 summers ago; I still like it. Ultramarine (aka teal) is also a favorite of mine. What I’d really like to see as the “in” color is royal purple; bright and clear, not too dark and blue, and not too red/raspberry. At least the colors that have been determined by Pantone for this fall aren’t all dark and depressing; I’m so sick of seeing blacks and browns all winter long.

I have to agree with Candi. I’m an Autumn, and most of these strike me as having too much pink or blue in them. Thank good ness there are so many other choices!
