I started out making baby blankets and full sized afghans. I find that while I can make socks, sweaters, caps, etc., I’m happiest making afghans. Have recently added lapghans and shawls to my project list.

I have made afghans in miniature versions for our shut-ins in our church with my scrap yarns…quick, fun and useful. These go from waist to top of feet when seated….and from side to side at hip….nothing to get caught in wheelchair or when trying to get up..

I’m thinking about making a lapghan for this winter …haven’t found that “I want it” pattern yet though.

I prefer small projects but am currently knitting a lapghan for college age GD. I really like the patchwork afgan but REALLY dislike sewing pieces together.
