This is great timing because I actually just started a vest as my first big project. I dont want to deal with sleeves. I've been practicing stitches with hats and scarves. So now I want to practice shaping something my size. Next will be using fine yarn for socks. My friends say its tedious so I'm holding off but I do plan to tackle it. Thanks for the tips.

I like sweaters, but the last time I made one, it was a cap sleeve, and made it too short to wear when my body decided to expand to a bigger size. Now I'm of the mind to do something, that will work for me as well as other women who are of my same body and size-type. Thanks for the info.
