What do you do at Lion Brand?
I work in the marketing department to create and moderate media. I create YouTube videos, post patterns to our website, help with our newsletters, and moderate on our Ravelry groups.
When did you start working at Lion Brand?
I began in late August of 2008.
What do you do when you’re not working at Lion Brand?
I study film theory, drink way too much coffee, upcycle vintage clothing, make jewelry, do yoga, and knit.
What is your favorite thing about working at Lion Brand?
I’m always surrounded by brilliant, supportive people. We really work together well and help each other whenever possible. I am constantly encouraged to be creative. And, of course, there’s always yarn around!
What is your earliest yarn memory?
My grandmother tried to teach me to crochet when I was 6 or 7. I vividly remember her ripping out my lumpy chains. Needless to say, I wasn’t very good at it. I came back to yarncrafting at 17 when my aunt taught me to knit (without ripping it out). I’ve been an avid knitter ever since.
