Donations to St. Jude Reach $2 Million

As many of our crafters know, a portion of all the proceeds from Vanna White’s yarn line goes to a very special cause. Since the beginning of this relationship with Vanna White, it was important to her to find a way to give back. She selected St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a favorite charity of hers. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital provides care for children with cancer and their families, while searching for a cure. Lion Brand is proud to announce that the proceeds from the sale of Vanna’s signature yarns, Vanna’s Choice, recently reached $2 million.

Lion Brand Yarn Company & Vanna White Donate $2 Million to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

When Lion Brand Yarn began this mission with Vanna White to contribute to the work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, we couldn’t have imagined how far we’d come together. So on October 19th, David and Shira Blumenthal joined Vanna White on a visit to present St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with a $2 million check. It was a thrill to commemorate this milestone in our giving.

Crafting and Contributing

Lion Brand Yarn and Vanna White are long-time donors to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Vanna White, co-host of Wheel of Fortune and crochet enthusiast, has been a Lion Brand spokesperson for over 20 years.

While we’ve reached this astonishing milestone on our journey with Vanna White, we know the impact will only keep growing. Since a percentage of Vanna’s signature yarns continues to be donated with each purchase, every crafter who chooses Vanna’s Choice is a part of this ongoing gift.
