What we love about Krochet Kids International is that they help women live better lives by giving them the opportunity to earn money through hand crafting. They don’t believe in handouts, they believe in empowerment. Thanks to Krochet Kids, hundreds of women and many more hundreds of children have become educated and have learned they have the power to create a better life for themselves.
Krochet Kids sells more than hats and other clothing. They also offer inspirational posters. We selected our favorite to give away to one person at random who enters our contest, called “Who Empowers You?”
Simply answer the question, enter your name and email address so we can contact the winner and you’ll have a chance to win this poster. It’s a limited edition poster, signed and numbered by the maker. Lion Brand purchased it here so if you want to purchase one yourself, you can do so. There were only 100 posters made so order quickly if you want one! We also framed it for the winning entry.
The poster is a great reminder to all of us. You are more capable than you think.

I just entered! My answer is me – I empower me. I have the choice to succeed or fail and that choice is a gift given to be by God. I may get inspiration and trainng from others, but the follow through is ultimately up to me. As a kindergarten teacher, I try to instill this belief in my students every day. This poster says it all and would be a welcomed addition to my classroom to inspire my students!

This is my answer: My husband!!! He appreciates my talents very seldom grumbles about the (large) amount of money I spend on fiber…. despite the fact HE’s the one with a steady job!!! Over the years he’s come to develop his own fiber interests has become a very talented rug hooker as well as learning to knit. Says “if you can’t beat ’em… join ’em”. So, I get to share my life with another fiber enthusiast…. lucky me!!! AndreaW

My dogs empower me. All the dogs I have known have set a high standard for me to emulate of courage, integrity, loyalty, compassion, forgiveness, and other character traits that I want in my life.
I am now disabled with multiple physical challenges and my dogs have risen to the occasion. Both of my dogs were originally trained as herding dogs and helped manage livestock on my micro farm. After my disabling accident, the two dogs quickly learned to assist me with daily living instead, and are now invaluable as service dogs. They have an incredible work ethic, as do most herding dogs (and many other dogs.) I am going back to college to learn a new profession that is more in keeping with my current physical limitation, and the dogs are key to my ability to handle being a full time student.
Interestingly, I also learned to knit and crochet as a way of coping with my disability. Knitting has been excellent therapy for my hands, and knitting helps me stay calm and focused and eases my pain.
Thanks to Lion Brand for a wide range of interesting colors and textures of Worsted Weight, Chunky, and Super Bulky yarns that make knitting so much fun. Love Amazing, Wool Ease (worsted, chunky, and thick and quick versions), Homespun and Homespun Thick and Quick, and so many others!
