CraftyGemini
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!

I bought the giant crochet hooks, I already have the yarn – I’m making one of these for my sister. If it comes out as cute as I think it will, I’m making more of them.
CraftyGemini
Oh, they will! So, get busy! 😉

Thumbs Up! Making a bunch of these for Christmas gifts!
Theresa
Thumbs up! Nice presentation and very clear directions! Thank you. 😀
CraftyGemini
Thank you! Glad to help. 🙂

This is really cute. For more advanced crocheters, I’d suggest replacing the chain and single crochet row with a row of Foundation Single Crochet (fsc).
CraftyGemini
Great tip! Thanks!

I loved it. I’ve never been very good at crocheting, but I keep trying…AND I THINK I CAN DO THIS. It’s wonderful I can go back and watch your video if I get lost. Thanks so much. Lion Brand and YOU are THE BEST!
CraftyGemini
Thanks so much! Glad to help! You can do it! Just keep at it.
Aunt Bea
Saw the video this morning….bought the materials this afternoon and I’ve just completed two of these cowls. It was so easy and they turned out beautifully!
CraftyGemini
Yay!! So great to hear! 🙂
Carol

Thanks, Mary! Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂

Love the tutorial and the written instructions…made my first project today in about an hour. I’m sure the second one will take only 45 minutes. Some of the ladies in my family will enjoy receiving these for Christmas! Thank you!!!

When using the size P hook, how long is the cowl supposed to be? It seems to be too short using only the 38 stitches, so I will need to add some chain stitches for the correct length.
Petrina
The finished circumference is about 28 in. (71cm) and has a finished height About 7 in. (18 cm). Hope this helps!

Your video was great, but really don’t care for the super size hooks and using 2 strands of one skein of finer yarn. Unfortunately, that is when I got turn off. I’ve been crocheting 44 years and was disappointed in this process. Thank you and I’ll press on with my own design.i

I was going to ask what was the problem with the link for the yarn giveaway, but now I see that this video was posted 9 months ago! I just got it in an email from Lion Brand. That does answer my question, lol.

I can’t find this yarn anywhere. I think it’s no longer available. Can you tell me which yarn or yarn size would be a good substitute?
Ally Carey
Hi, Susan – I believe this is the yarn mentioned in the tutorial: https://www.lionbrand.com/amazing-yarn.html
Let us know if that works!
