Getting to Know Ice Cream Baby Yarn

Ice Cream® and Ice Cream® Big Scoop are soft 100% acrylic yarns that come in a sweet array of colors. You will find the classic baby girl pink and little boy blue, as well as combinations of pastels and neutrals like brown and gray. Regular Ice Cream® and Big Scoop are the same yarn base, however the Big Scoop balls are more than twice the yardage! (394 yards vs. 1117 yards.) You can make an entire baby blanket from a single ball of Ice Cream® Big Scoop!

The Ice Cream® yarn line is as easy as can be to care for. It was designed to be washed on the hottest temperature available using the same detergents as the rest of your laundry. Working With Ice Cream® Yarn

There are currently almost 50 patterns on the Lion Brand site using Ice Cream® and Ice Cream Big Scoop. The designs range from accessories to afghans and garments geared toward babies and kids. The yarn works up into a soft fabric that is soft against the skin.

The Easy Layering Poncho (Crochet) and Sonoma Top (Knit) are worked in Ice Cream® in Mint and Lemon Meringue, respectively.
