Question about Chunky Icelandic Blanket
Hi. I am currently making this lapghan, and I love it! I have used the correct hook and yarn, the correct number of starting chain stitches, and will have used 6 skeins of Chunky yarn as the pattern states. I even like the size, which seems about perfect for chair sitting. My only problem is that my finished work is going to be more like 28″ by 30″ (or so), nowhere near the 36″ x 40″ as the directions state. I’m okay with that, just wondering if I misunderstood somehow, or if it was a mistake in directions? Thanks!

58 chains should be desired wide. You probably crochet tight. Use more chains evenly
