My crochet resolutions for 2015 are to complete my poncho project that I started this past Fall, start and complete my second afghan, and make three hat/scarf/cowls for friends and family. It may not sound much but I’m a busy Mom who is self teaching herself. Many blessings to all this new year!
I started a KAL, then realized it was an item I would never use so I frogged. Now I’m using the yarn for a scarf, and scarves are my favorite accessory
Knit a square baby shawl in number ten crochet thread, just so my new baby can be fancy. I’m using a vintage pattern from circa 1960. I might also knit up all the other fussy little layette items fashionable babies wore in the late 50’s. I have until the end of April, I should be able to finish it before then.
My 2015 Crochet Resolution is to finish the crochet Around the World queen size quilt that I have been working on in my ‘spare’ crochet time for 3 1/2 years. It is beautiful and 3/4 of the way done but it is very time consuming connecting all the colored squares with the matching color. I have all the squares crocheted – 1073 2 1/2: squares. I have 725 squares connected and I am determined to finish it by the end of this year.
I am making a pineapple shawl for my daughter with #2 yarn in soft ivory and am beginning a cowl neck sweater for myself with cotton/acrylic yarn. Always have a little piece of dishcloth or “busy work” to grab when I’m going to be waiting somewhere. I have a keyhole scarf to finish when I find the pattern again (straightening up for Christmas company got it misplaced!).
My daughter gave me a beautiful set of Tunisian crochet hooks for Christmas.. Since I have never crocheted using the Tunisian technique, my resolution for 2015 is to learn to use my new hooks, and to make a real, wearable garment using Tunisian. (I do wish there were more Tunisian patterns at Lion Brand, though!)
Get knitting again. My niece was learning and practicing knitting for the first time this Christmas break, and it inspired me to start again. I’m also learning and practicing my crochet basics. I’ve knit a Fast Finish Throw and a prayer shawl already. My whole-skein practice swatches of crochet could probably also count as scarves.

Sounds like plenty to me. Good luck and peace, health and prosperity for 2015.

To try more intricate crochet patterns and to make myself a sweater. Two resolutions that I will surely keep!

Determination to finish. I’m getting better at that. Happy New Year!
