Knit and crochet designer Lisa Gentry is the creative talent behind Hook and Needle Designs and she’s just created an eBook featuring 20 crochet scarf patterns — perfect timing, since winter has definitely arrived!
The scarf patterns in this book are suited to those who want more decorative, stylish scarves featuring openwork, and of course, there are bulkier versions perfect for braving the winter cold. Thanks to Lisa, we have 5 copies of her eBook to give away, AND each winner will also receive a skein of Homespun® to complete the Sweet Sixteen Scarf (pictured below – right). Need a great pattern for mittens, that are long and cover wrists. I have metal plates,in my wrists from an accident and they really hurt in cold weather. So I need mittens with wrist warmers attached. Thanx Pamela

No time for making mittens. I make and donate matching hats and scarves to our local Chemo Center and have also donated to Hospice patients. When I lost my brother to cancer, I knew I had to do something in his honor so since he had been a patient of both the chemo center and Hospice, this seemed the perfect way to go.

Thanks for the chance to win! Even though I’m a beginner, I’ve used Homespun in a few projects already and like the results. I’d love to improve my skills and this e-book looks like it has some patterns that would help me do that.

I live in pain and knitting and crocheting are good therapy for me. I like to me items for others and myself. It connects me to my grandmother and other very good friends that I have lost in a good way. So it gives me a way to give to others, remember my loved ones that I have lost and exercise my hands so I can keep them moving. It is also something I hope to pass on to others that want to learn. I have taught anyone that wants to learn. Peace to you all and thank you.
