With spring in full bloom all around us, it’s hard to ignore all the beautiful colors!
These flowers were all in bloom near our New York City offices, and have the same lovely tones as the cotton and cotton blend yarns that are perfect for light, warm-weather crafting. Beside each flower and the matching yarn, I’ve added one of the most popular patterns we have in that yarn and a link to explore even more patterns in the chosen fiber.
What’s your favorite flower, or favorite color to craft with in spring and summer? Leave a comment to share your thoughts!

Hi I often crochet with cotton and acrylic because I have a wool allergy. I’d love to try some of the self striping patterns that are often designed for Lion’s Amazing yarn. Does Lion have (or plan to develop) some acrylic or cotton yarns that will self stripe?

Hi Beth, for the longer stripes, check out Tweed Stripes or select painterly colors of Homespun and Hometown USA (each acrylic). For shorter self-striping colors, you can check out Lion Cotton or Nature’s Choice Organic Cotton (each cotton). Visit LionBrand.com and click on “Our Yarns” to browse each yarn and its colors. Hope that helps!
