Great visual instructions for learning stitches. I find it difficult to translate the written words into the actions required. Please continue with more complex stitches.

I noticed that your instructions show American (British) style knitting, with the yarn held in the right hand and “thrown over” and not European style, with the yarn held on the index finger of the left hand and pulled through. I never found kniting enjoyable until I taught myself the European style. I find it to be more practical, fast, and efficient. I think it would be a good idea to include this style as an alternative.

I’m struggling with the reading of patterns
Jess Says: Hi, Lorna. Try looking at our “beginner” rated patterns, which use no abbreviations. Then look at “easy” patterns, which have only a few abbreviations. It sometimes helps to write out what the abbreviations mean. For example, if your pattern said k2 p4 k2, you would write out knit 2, purl 4, knit 2. Very helpful! I had been having trouble understanding the knit in front and knit in back stitches as well as the slip slip knit stitch. This explains it really well!
