New Lion Brand Yarn Shop Inside A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts Store in White Marsh, Maryland

Lion Brand Yarn Shop For all of you knitting and crochet enthusiasts in the Nottingham, White Marsh area of Maryland–we’d like to announce that Lion Brand Yarn Company will open its first Lion Brand Yarn Shop within an A.C Moore Arts & Crafts:

8115 Honeygo Boulevard
Nottingham, Maryland 21236

Grand Opening
October 14, 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

We are thrilled to be able to extend the Lion Brand experience to a local store, especially since not everyone can make it to our New York City flagship store, the Lion Brand Yarn Studio.

The Lion Brand Yarn Shop will open with a “yarn cutting” ceremony at 9:30a.m., and the first 50 shoppers to arrive will receive a Lion Brand Yarn tote bag filled with goodies. In celebration of the opening, several events will be taking place in the store until 2 p.m.

Festivities include:

  • “Make and take” areas
  • Giveaways every hour
  • Special sales
  • Live demo of the Martha Stewart Crafts™ Lion Brand® Yarn Knit & Weave Loom Kit.

The Lion Brand Yarn Shop will offer the largest selection of Lion Brand yarns outside of our retail store, the Lion Brand Yarn Studio.  You’ll be able to choose from a wider variety of some of our favorites, such as Amazing, Wool-Ease, Hometown USA and more.  Additionally, the new shop will also be home to an exclusive Lion Brand Yarn inspiration center. The inspiration center will have iPads available for easy access to our extensive pattern library, featuring over 4,700 free knitting, crocheting, weaving, loom knitting, and crafting patterns.

    • Hi Betsy, the LB collection will still be exclusive to the website, catalog, retail store in NYC and outlet store in NJ, but there’s a wide selection of yarns in the shops that normally wouldn’t be carried. It’d be great to open more stores, it depends on the retailers.. you never know! 🙂

  • I happened to be in White Marsh during Hurricane Sandy, and my daughter and I prepared by making sure we had yarn and our crochet hooks! I loved having everything in one place. Now I want one in Buffalo, NY!

  • Couldn’t wait to see this and made the trip (hour and half) but was disappointed. All the free pattern hang pads were empty, no iPads for looking up patterns – just a large binder on the table showing all the colors that are available (but not actually in the store) in each yarn line. Big disappointment!
