The Free Spirit Topper

You can find the original Free Spirit Topper (Knit) here. Above, it’s pictured in Scarfie in Taupe/Charcoal, a brown and dark grey ombré. Kristen worked hers up in Mint/Silver, and we love that, too! You could choose any of the 19 Scarfie colorways, and the color variation will add an organic striping. Scarfie is a bulky yarn, but it’s soft, so it has a lovely drape for garments like this one. You’ll need just four skeins to finish up your topper.

What You’ll Need

Before you get started, you’ll need the following supplies:

• 4 Skeins of Lion Brand Scarfie Yarn in a color of your choice.
• 11/16″ LG (Large Gauge) Loom with at least 54 pegs.
• 4 Stitch Markers
• Measuring Tape
• Scrap Yarn (to use as a stitch holder)
• Tapestry Needle
