The World’s Cutest Hedgehog via MamaInAStitch

Today is a good day to be a forest dwelling mammal, if you judge good days by how many fantastic fiber creations are made in your likeness.

Earlier, we fueled your hand-made-hand-bag inspiration with a truly transfixing Fox Purse by 1DogWoof. Now, it’s time to introduce you to an irresistible little critter by Jessica at MamaInAStitch.

For those of you who have yet to try making amigurumi, Jessica points out that this adorable little creature is a reasonably easy place to start. “It uses single crochet, simple decreasing (crocheting two together), and increasing by making two single crochet stitches in a single stitch.”

And if you find yourself gazing into the eyes of this bow-wearing, ultra-cuddly looking forest mammal, there is a good reason behind that. Jessica “wanted to figure out the best way to do eyes,” so turned to Stephanie from  All About Ami (where else?) for some great tutorials!

Just grab some Fisherman’s Wool in Oatmeal, some Fun Fur and a few other bits’n’bobs, and before you know it, you will have your very own Hedgehog familiar!
