This weekend is Labor Day in the U.S., which means many families will head out on one last trip before school and work are back in full gear.
With packed cars and long drives, or busy trains and planes, you probably don’t want to lug along that blanket or sweater you’ve been working on. That makes this long weekend the perfect time to work on something new, something smaller, that’s portable and that you may even be able to finish in a few days. Think hats, toys (for kids and pets alike), baby booties, fingerless mittens, and cute little accessories. This might be a great time to start a pair of socks or get going on some small holiday presents.
We have a few ideas for what would be great to work on this weekend. Knit or crochet, there’s something small and easy to carry that you can make.
