Go Boho: Urban Gypsy Bag

Over the past couple few  weeks we’ve been taking a look at creating a Boho festival style with knit and crochet accessories. We began with a knit flower crown using flowers found in the Lion Brand stitch finder. Last week’s focus was on crocheted footwear and the Coachella Boots pattern from make & Do Crew. (Available as a kit from Lion Brand using 24/7 Cotton.) This week we’re visiting Make & Do Crew again. She must be feeling the same Boho vibe we are!

Want It

The right bag to tote all your festival essentials is important. You need to carry one and it should elevate your look, not detract from it. After all, you meticulously put together your perfect outfit right down to the crocheted Coachella Boots on your feet.

The Urban Gypsy bag is the perfect size to wear cross-body style without impeding on your dance moves. Play with strap options (crochet vs leather or other material) and adjust the length depending on your wear and movement preferences.

Wear It

Although we might have festival season on the brain, this pretty crocheted bag can definitely be worn for more occasions. We can see it being paired with skinny jeans and tall boots, sundresses, or beach cover ups.

The bag looks amazing in all white (Vanilla Kitchen Cotton), but with 12 colors of Kitchen Cotton to play with you could put together your favorite combinations. Something to consider might be the main granny motif in one colors with the triangle panels in another. Or perhaps a multicolor granny square with solid or stripes triangle sections. The Urban Gypsy bag is written for one size. Without fringe it measures 14 inches tall x 11.5 inches wide. Strap length is 22 inches. Kits come with 5 balls of Kitchen Cotton in the Vanilla colorway.
