I found a pattern a few years ago for a crocheted lacy penny enclosure that the bride wears pinned under her dress. The penny is from her birth year, it has a blue bow (the something blue) the crocheted lace (something new) and the penny (something old) the only thing it doesn’t have is the something borrowed. My daughter and I wrote a poem to go with it and we attach the penny holder to the card with the poem and give it as gifts to the brides.
