How To Crochet A Daisy Granny Square

I had so much fun stitching up the Sunflower Granny Square in Re-Up yarn that I decided to continue on my granny square journey with more flower variations! Below you will find round-by-round instructions for a Daisy-look granny square. For this (and the new few flower granny squares) I am using our new Basic Stitch Premium yarn. It comes in a wide array of solid colors that are perfect to pair for granny squares!

Materials

• Basic Stitch Premium Yarn; 1 ball each in Saffron; Snow, Ivy; Cream
• J-10 (6 mm) crochet hook
• Yarn needle to weave ends and join squares (if applicable)

The Daisy Granny Square

With Color A, ch 4, join with a slip st to form a ring

Rnd 1: Color A – ch 2 (counts as 1st dc), 15 dc into center of ring, join with a slip st to top of beg ch – 16 dc

Rnd 2: Color B – Attach Color B to the top of any dc, sc in same st, [ch 2, skip next dc, sc in next st] 7 times, ch 2, skip next dc, slip st to first sc – 8 sc

Rnd 3: Color B – slip st into the next ch-2 space, ch 3, dc 4 tog into space, ch 3, [dc 5 tog in next space, ch 3] 7 times, slip st to top of beg ch 3 – 8 petal clusters

Rnd 4: Color C – Join green yarn with a slip stitch to any ch-3 space. Ch 2 (counts as 1st dc), [2dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in same space, *ch 2, 3 dc, in the next ch-3 space, ch 2, [3dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in next space; rep from * twice more, ch 2, 3 dc in the next ch-3 space, ch 2, slip stitch to top of beginning ch-2 – 12 dc clusters

Rnd 5: Color D – Join Ecru yarn with a slip st to a corner ch-2 space. Ch 2 (counts as 1st dc), [2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in same space, *[ch 1, 3 dc in the next ch-2 space] twice, ch 1, [3dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in next corner space; rep from * twice more, [ch 1, 3 dc in the next ch-2 space] twice, ch 1, slip stitch to top of beginning ch-2 – 16 dc clusters

Rnd 6: Color D – ch 2 (counts as 1st dc), work 1 dc in each st across edge including ch-1 sp, work [2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc] in each corner ch-2 space, end by joining with a slip st to beginning of rnd ch – 76 dc
