What is your favorite Lion Brand yarn?

Wool Ease Thick & Quick

What brought you to yarn (knitting/crochet)?

I was staying with my grandma after moving home from college and she always had knitting needles in the TV room. One evening, I just asked her to teach me how to knit while we were relaxing together.

Do you remember who taught you how to knit/crochet?  Tell us a bit about how you learned.

My late grandmother taught me how to knit when I came home from college, and I instantly became obsessed with all things yarn. She taught me with Lion Brand Hometown USA, and I wanted to make chunky hats on repeat. I didn’t know how to knit in the round using circular needles, so I watched endless youtube videos to learn how to crochet in the round. Now chunky yarn and slouchy beanies are my favorite to make, and my best sellers online and at markets!

What is your favorite thing to make?

Hats!

Do you have a favorite stitch/pattern?

Double crochet all day – super fast projects, and also a great stitch for teaching new students, (which I now do regularly!).

What’s the first project you finished?

I made a very colorful fringe scarf for my niece for Christmas.

Why are you a fan of LBY products?

I learned with using Lion Brand, and never looked back! They are always very innovative with new styles of yarn, and have so many amazing color choices for each of their lines. Not to mention, their marketing team is the best!

Any other notable stories/experiences with yarn you’d like to share!

I never thought that a few short years after falling in love with this craft, I would be lucky enough to work with the yarn company that I used from day one. I feel honored to be able to be working with Lion Brand and using their yarn to create and design with. This is definitely a dream come true!
