Donna
I love to play with granny squares to make something unique. Cotton is great for summer projects – not too warm and gets softer with age.
SAR-L
Just registered for the contest. I am currently working on a baby afghan that is one big granny square. I would like to see the book, I think it would be full of new ideas, that I could use, since I’m teaching myself crochet.

Back in the last century when i was a teenager i learned from a book (remember those!) how to crochet, I made squares and motifs, jumpers, bags and scarves. I was transported back to that time by the photo on the cover of this book. What fun presents could I make from those squares? I am searching out some colourful yarn and a hook as soon as I finish typing………
Mary Hansen
I was given several bags of cotton yarn and have been looking for interesting ways to use some of it…this is perfect. Thanks so much for sharing others’ talents.

i am below poverty level for income and have two small children….i love to knit and crochet and for the most part, make all the blankets for my sons bed and newborn daughters crib and all the dishcloths/towels and washcloths for my family to use. Every year i make christmas gifts from mitts, hats and scarves to afghans, dishcloth/towel sets and other little items. It would be amazing to win this and be able to make some new patterns and in my situation, even the yarn would be a big help. Good luck to everyone who entered. π

Are you using a shared computer or are you possibly on a network shared by other people who might be yarncrafters? The system is designed to let only one entry per ISP, so it’s possible that someone has already entered from your ISP or that your network is blocking tracking in some way that interferes with our entry form. If that’s the case, please try again from another computer.

I started yarn crafts with crochet as a teenager 35 years ago. I switched to knitting about 20 years ago because my friends and I started becoming grandchildren and back then it was virtually impossible to find any baby patterns in crochet. Now you can find crochet patterns to make all the same items as knitting so I really want to get back into crochet!
Jo musick
