  • I love to knit and crochet after having bought many gorgeous sweaters and cardigans.

    Beautiful.

  • Too many steps. Also, I do not and don’t want a Twitter account. Requiring me to have one and post there is unfair to those of us without it.

  • So excited to see how creative everyone gets with their pics!
    @thecocoabeachpurl on ig

  • Pattern for the penguin please!

  • Contest says Facebook Instagram or Twitter
You don’t have to have all 3.

  • I am 66 and do not have a twitter account, does this make me ineligable to enter
    Kindest regards

    • You can still enter! You only need to post on 1 of the social media platforms. Just Facebook or just Instagram is fine!

  • Can I post the same picture on each of those 3 platforms, and have it count as 3 entries?

    • 3 different photos will increase your chance of winning the grand prize!

  • This contest does not require you to post on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, only one of the forms of social media. The steps are pretty easy of you post often. Love being creative and posting photos and creating new things with beautiful yarn.

  • I’m leaving this comment for Karen Rose. You can post on Instagram, Twitter, OR Facebook according to the rules. You don’t have to have all 3 accounts. Although it seems like a long list of rules, if you’ve ever posted on Social Media such as Facebook or Instagram, you will find that most of the rules are the standard procedure to do such things. Don’t be discouraged… it’s as easy as taking a picture of yourself with some Lion Brand Yarn at the store of your choice, and posting about it and making sure to include the hashtag (#lionbrandshelfie) in your post and then tag the store you shopped at by typing (@whateverstore) you shopped. Lastly, make sure you follow the Lion Brand Facebook Page or Instagram Page (which chances are if you heard about this, then you probably already do). Hope this helps! Good Luck!

  • Just to let you know, this contest makes people like me, disabled people who can’t get out of the house, who buy your product online, automatically ineligible. I buy Lion Brand from Walmart, Amazon, and other online retailers. I haven’t been to a brick and mortar store in years and have no way to get to one. By making that a requirement, you’ve shut a whole segment of society out of your contest. You need to know this fact because we’re your loyal customers too, and it’s a shame we’re being excluded.

  • I want to put a BIG DITTO with MEGAN ALBERTSON, it’s an all day affair just to go see the doctor. Going to an actual store would be a nightmare. I rely on the internet for my shopping. Drunk driver took the use of my legs and some of my torso, thank God I have my hands.

  • Can Canadians enter???

  • 1) Does the “shelfie” contest (photo and post of any LB yarn at a retail store which does not need self in the photo nor purchase of the LB yarn) require or need to include any image of the use of the yarn in.a crochet or knit completed, work in progress,(WIP) or unfinished object (UFO)? Also, does cute babiea, animals, or props impact judgment of the photo?

    2) The “shelfie” post does require the handle of retail shop (such as Michaels). Confirming, if does shopping at “LB Yarn Store” or outlet excluded from the contest?

    • If you shop at the LBY Studio or Outlet tagging those places counts.
Use of props (or cute babies) impacts the judging of the photo only in the sense of creativity. They’re not necessary, but if adding elements to the photo inspires you more then feel free! There does not need to be a WIP, UFO, or FO present. It can simply be Lion Brand yarn skeins. 🙂

  • Went to JoAnn, toke the selfie. Unable to tah either you or Joann on FB. BS contest, no one can actually enter. Way to advertise for free.
