Try This Stitch: Stitching Together A Sampler Afghan

New Basic 175 yarn was delivered to the Lion Brand office and we all immediately fell in love. You may have noticed it’s been featured in a few of the “Try This Stitch” posts. After some squares were worked up and relaxing in a pile I couldn’t help but imagine a soft snuggly sampler blanket. The New Basic color palette is beautiful and the colors fall together naturally (it’s all about the arrangement!).

As the weeks progress the “Try This Stitch” segments (knit and crochet) will continue to be worked in New Basic over the same size squares. Periodically we’ll check back in on the progress of the sample afghan. So far the published stitches (with samples shown in New Basic) are:
